Pouring a Winding Walkway to the
Front Porch

It will be nice when all the exterior construction ends, as it certainly makes a mess!

However, this quote from Henry David Thoreau helps put things into perspective:

If you have built castles in the air, your work need not be lost. There is where they should be. Now put foundations under them.

A concrete walkway doesn't have to be straight, it can bend and twist and gyrate to your heart's content!

Um, speaking of hearts, note that the driver of the concrete truck (far right) is smoking a cigarette as his churning truck spells out a message from the American Heart Association. Dr. Ellen doubts they would like this pix!

A view from the 2nd floor...

The walkway ends at the front porch which will have log railings eventually.

Nice, huh? Before it is finished it will be more of a sand color, not gray like regular concrete. It also still has to be sealed.
