A Visit to a Barna Log Home Site
in Pellissippi, TN


Lesley's builder is currently constructing a Barna home in Pellissippi, TN. We visited the site several times in June to give us a better idea of what to expect when Bill begins work on Lesley's home in early July.

We can tell you this - it all happens very fast once the logs arrive! Six weeks to frame it in, Bill says...


The logs are delivered to the building site and wait patiently for the action to start.


Here Bill shows hows the logs are individually labeled and notched


The Pellissippi home is also being built on a poured cement garage structure, like Lesley's. This image shows the way that the base of the log home is secured to its foundation.


The logs are painstakingly selected and moved on top of the poured cement foundation as needed. And, although to the untrained eye this looks disorganized, it is not.


Of course, it is not all work and no play for Bill Gray! This is a guy with a smile for everybody.
