Location Information for the
CHESTNUT TOPS COMMUNITY in Blount County, TN
The Collins 8-acre tract is located in the Chestnut Tops Community in Blount County, TN. Chestnut Tops is a 170-acre environmentally-focused community currently consisting of 10+ property owners, each with tracts no smaller than 5 acres, some much larger. Each tract, regardless of size, is limited to one single-family dwelling. You can access the Chestnut Tops Community via the scenic Foothills Parkway from Rt 321 on the Maryville side of Townsend, TN. The Foothills Parkway is a national parkway that runs along the crest of Chilhowee Mountain in the Great Smoky Mountains of East Tennessee. From various overlooks along the parkway, one can see the high peaks of the Smokies to the south and, to the north, most of Blount County and parts of Knoxville. The Cumberland Plateau spans the horizon to the northwest. Take a tour of the Foothills Parkway here. View the weather cam from the Look Rock Observation Tower (one mile away). You can hike to GSMNP trails from this community and also enjoy nearby lakes for swimming, boating, and fishing. Bikers love the Foothills Parkway as much as motorcyclists and sportscar enthusiasts love the nearby and very well-known Tail of the Dragon (on Rt. 129). |
