ICF Forms
Part II - Structural Details

Read more about Reward's flat wall iForm™ Insulated concrete forms (ICFs). This is definitely the way to go!

ICF forms come in standard lengths which can also cut to size to fit difficult wall areas.

Plastic braces are clipped inside to hold horizontal lengths of rebar and to form a uniform 8-inch wall between 4.5 inches of styrofoam. Concrete is poured down into that 8-inch space.

This shows a deadman (footer) that is attached to a main wall...holes are cut in the styrofoam to allow the poured concrete to bleed through to the deadman, thereby fixing the deadman to the wall it supports.

Rebar comes in 20 ft rod lengths and is cut to size as needed.

Note the horizontal layer of rebar.

Looking horizontally through an ICF formed wall...pretty nifty, huh?

Opps! Yet another view...

Bill Gray and Perry Burchfield (left) of Burchfield Construction, Inc. calculate the amount of concrete that will be needed to fill the ICF wall forms. They ended up needing 55 yards of concrete for those walls.
