Erecting & Raising the 2x8 Garage Walls

Part II

Here another wall is formed and raised, and I-Beams are installed to support the subfloor for the next level (II) of the Collins log home.

Builder Bill Gray will leave his mark in many ways on this Barna Log Home, this being just ONE of them. Sly fox, him! (See his name scrawled in pencil on the I-Beam?)

The garage door to the left opens to a 13.6' x 37.6' workshop..the two larger stalls to the right will accommodate cars and boats. The garage space is 2,000 sq. ft including a 15' x 19' ground floor foyer with elevator.

This is the ceiling area of the ground floor foyer which houses stairs and an elevator shaft. Both will continue up to the third floor from here.
