Clearing Lesley's Land at Chestnut Tops
| The day finally came! The big earth-moving equipment arrived and Lesley's land began to look like her house was going to become a reality at last.
You still have to use your imagination here...it's hard to visualize a Barna Log Home nestled amongst the hardwood trees of Lesley's eight acres...but stay tuned!
Kids of all ages love trucks, huh?
Lesley climbed aboard for a whole new perspective - it was fun, she says!
Sandboxes are also intriguing at any age, it seems.
Here Lesley repairs some damage that the big earth-moving equipment made as they moved in and around the many yellow-ribboned trees that Lesley labeled and did not want removed during the excavator process.
Note the yellow ribbons...

Perry, the escavator (red shirt), talks with Bob Manseill, Lesley's General Contractor at the property. Do you see the white tab at Bob's waist? Check out the photo below...

Perry's guys recommended BOUNCE sheets to keep the gnats out of our hair and face - it apparently works by attacting them away from your head. We tried it, too, and it seems to work, so now we tote a supply of this stuff along with other necessities like boots and mosquito spray and decaf Diet Pepsi.
Good boots are an absolute must at the property for several reasons - snakes, dust, rocky footings - but they also look pretty COOL, hmmmm?
The garage footprint had to be dug in on one side to accomodate a 10-foot downhill grade.
